The Shutter sound and Rewind Lever

 

     A part of being born in the Digital Era I still like shooting photographs in the old school way. After watching this old Japanese movie entitled "Heavenly Forest" which you guys have to really watch, I have no intention of telling a little hint on how the story goes so you should see it for yourself (you can thank me later teehee) so because of this movie I picked up my first film camera , I got it for $5 at a little thrift shop in Singapore and it's a Nikon AF2, a 35mm point and shoot camera, though I'm really not sure what attracted me to shoot analog aside from the crisp shutter sound when you try to click the shutter button when taking photographs and rewinding the film when the frames are all used up in my head I just look cool like that.

 

     Now I am using an old Minolta srt 101 also a 35mm film camera, it's quite heavy but a tank when it comes to durability. The challenging part is that from changing the automatic Nikon AF2 to the manual Minolta srt 101, I have to set all the settings myself  from the shutter speed, to IOS  there were also days when I forget what type of film I have installed in my camera so I just tend to play with and you will be surely surprise with the outcome, all I have learned from watching Youtube tutorial videos though I still suck in shooting film. I just live by the saying of "Your first 10,000 are the worst" and that keeps me going until I reach 10,001 maybe that will be worst to worse at least it a level better than the other.

   Ivy Lane is a Décor and Flower shop managed by Natural Art located at the ground floor area of Conrad Hotel Manila. A very Parisian style store with white walls that pop up the color of the flowers,cold white light and Glass doors which we like see in the movies and I know our lovely ladies here would definitely love to visit.

   Upon entering the store you will be greeted by of course the Exquisite blooms of Flowers different kinds from Local to Imported once. The shop is also filled aroma you wont get enough of , oh! take note that they sell Fresh and artificial flowers.

They have a chiller for storing the flowers and keeping it fresh

 



     It was Valentines Day when I came here so Flower bouquets were all over the place, you have to call the shop for their prices (their contact no. is indicated below this page)

 



     Came  with a great friend of mine who also squeals her lungs out when she sees flowers  (missing you lots Jamie~)  she stuffed me with good food before coming here so we did a lot    of walking.

Buku.Buku Kafe / Ayala Mall District Imus

 

Grab a Book, Grab a Bite

 

     There is not much of concept restaurant/café from where I am residing. Recently my eyes  gazed through one of the Ayala Property mall "The District Mall" Located  in Imus Cavite along Aguinaldo Highway. The Brand name of the Coffee Shop is quite catchy as well "Buku.Buku Kafe" which is a Bahasa term for many many books the name reflects the literature and art inside the café and the Southeast Asian flavors that influence Buku-Buku's menu.

 

     Upon entering the Café you will instantly feel the very cozy ambiance, Dim lighted plus natural lighting , the aroma of coffee beans is all over the place, and who wouldn't love artistic decors? 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 



      Foods being served is a fusion of Filipino and Malaysian delicacies. I ordered their Longanisa Slizer which is very flavorful and it is served a Fried crispy Banana chips on the side, and I got Milo Dinosaur  to quench my thirst they used Chocó cereals for it's toppings,  I used to drink it a lot while I was still in SG with my friends.

   

Cupcakes, Cookies, Breads and cakes are also available

     There's a bookshelf at the farthest end of the shop where you can choose to read while waiting for your order or just want to pass time by yourself, they have wide selection of reads from Biography, Science, Coffee table books, Photography and other art books and also Novels. Just make sure to respect their books and have it returned properly to shelves after reading it.

 

 

      Their Community Board where you can post all your Suggestions and even your Hugots which you have been caring deep inside you for a long time.  

 

 

     You can also borrow their Board games. They also do have items being displayed which you can purchase. Handcrafted by local artist. 

 

 

 

 

 

     My Favorite part of the café is their ceiling. It has a very structured lighting and books hanged they are like a pattern of constellations to me.
